Too much complexity

As BlackBerry evolved through new acquisitions and SaaS products, they found that their processes and systems were growing increasingly complex and disparate, creating challenges for direct and partner sales teams. A complex approval process, multiple pricebooks, disparate contract data and other challenges were hindering BlackBerry's ability to drive consistency across partner and direct sales.

Trimming the excess; Simplifying the complex

Through Salesforce CPQ, BlackBerry and Traction were able to unify partner and direct sales within a single system that drives a consistent, branded quote-to-cash experience for the customer while delivering sales reps better customer insights. By taking a hard look at data and process, BlackBerry were able to consolidate their products, pricebooks and approval processes. For example, BlackBerry and Traction merged 3000 products to just 600, greatly simplifying the quote-to-cash process. With Salesforce CPQ's powerful contract/subscription management capabilities, BlackBerry is even streamlining their renewal process, so they can spend more time growing their customer base. But hey, don't take our word for it, watch the video!
